Cruise ships stopping in Aruba…

The hotel we were staying in, The Radisson Aruba, was a ten minute taxi ride north of Oranjestad, in the Palm Beach area.  One afternoon, before going into town, I was looking out of the balcony and could see what looked like a large cruise ship in the distance.  I was amazed at its size when we arrived in town.  We’ve never taken a cruise, but it’s something to think about.  The second ship was there on a different day.  My understanding is that there’s a different cruise ship stopping by the island each day.

It must be pretty peaceful cruising the sea, unless there is a storm.

I once thought a cruise would be fun, then after hearing stories about people disappearing off of ships it sort or makes me leery, it seems that if you disappear at sea nobody ever gets caught or prosecuted.

I think a cruise would be interesting, but don’t want to travel to an area where the pirates are looking for easy pickings. Today I read where a German cruise ship sent the passengers, by plane, to the next port of call, to be on the safe side. I think Greece is off of the radar for the near future. As well as India. It is sure getting hard to find a place to visit.
