The roses are blooming…
I have a brown thumb, but the roses don’t need my help
This photo was captured by the Stork Webcam in Weiden. The camera is active from 10:00 to 13:00 and again from 16:00 to 20:00, German time.
When we arrived at the castle, there was only one other car in the parking lot. It only took a couple of minutes to realize why. The path that led from the lot to the castle had a barrier in front of it. My wife and I stepped to the adjacent road where the closed gift shop was and we were met with this sign. It translates, “Storm Damage. Enter the castle area at your own risk.” The recent storms had done considerable damage to the trees that surround the castle. As you can see on the previous post, the castle weathered the storm well, with the exception of some debris in the moat. From the gift shop it was a short 200 yard walk and the path had been cleared.
